Please note that the SetHero conversion tool is a paid service.

The entire conversion + import process should take less than 5 minutes.

  • Step 1.
Go to SetHero and download their special custom MMS report template.

  • Step 2
Open your MMS file and create a PDF using SetHero's report template.

  • Step 3
Upload the PDF report to SetHero and download the converted .JSON file.
(this step is a paid service)

  • Step 4
Drag and drop your converted .JSON into Cinapse — and get started.

NEW ‘Create Report’ redesign

We’ve re-designed the ‘Create Report’ user experience to add the ability to print-preview your report while you’re adjusting the report settings. Now, when you filter content, change date range, or any other setting, your PDF preview updates in realtime. This eliminates time spent going back and forth between your report configuration menu and the print-preview, only to lose the settings you had previously setup.

  • New side-by-side layout when creating reports. Left panel = menu for editing report settings. Right-panel = preview of your PDF

  • Show/hide multiple categories in Shooting Schedule. You can now show/hide whatever element categories you want in the Shooting Schedule report. You can choose a single category, or multiple categories

  • Re-designed filtering experience. You can filter content on any report by Episode, Category, or built-in categories like SET, INT/EXT, etc. We re-designed this feature to not be so hidden, and reduced the number of clicks it takes to apply a filter.

  • “List Report” redesign. Re-designed the Cast / Element list report’s layout to be more easily readable. Elements now appear as black-background rows, and the scheduled scenes / occurrences of those elements now appear in more compact rows to increase information density per page.

Customer requests / Miscellaneous bug fixes

  • Scriptation Importer synopsis bug. Fixed bug where synopsis would be cleared when importing new scriptation scripts into an existing file.

  • Auto-numbering impacting locked Cast IDs. Fixed bug where the auto-numbering feature would re-assign your Cast ID, even though you locked that Cast ID. Auto-numbering now skips over any locked IDs.

  • Edit-element menu bug. Fixed bug where the Cast ID field was missing from the edit-element menu when you double-click on a Cast Member from the breakdown sheet.

  • One-liner report page breaks bug. Fixed bug where one-liner report would have page-breaks in the middle of a strip.

  • New version-banner on homepage. Updated the homepage banner to be more readable. We are in process of creating a ‘dark-mode’ for our app and will be incrementally releasing this feature over the next few months.
