Version 1.19
We dedicated this sprint to fixing customer ‘papercuts’ — which are relatively small bugs / annoying UX behaviors within the app that slow down our power users. Thank you all for using the “Submit feedback” button so much, it is helping us improve the product week over week. We’re also processing feedback from 1.18’s UNIT BREAK beta release and will release improvements in Unit Breaks (part 2) soon!
Updated FDX importer
Fixed a bug where FDX importer was not importing tags correctly. Basically what was happening was the tags were indeed being created in the Cinapse file, but not being assigned to the corresponding strips upon import. We have addressed this.
Upgraded the FDX import algorithm to scrape synopsis / set / INT/EXT data more accurately
Show/hide borders in layouts
You can now show/hide cell-borders on your strips from the LAYOUT MANAGER.
Navigate to Layout Manager, you’ll see a checkbox above the strip-preview.
Many customers requested this as the borders between each of the cells was unconventional and triggered stranger-danger to producers / dept heads viewing a Cinapse one-liner report.
Re-order categories
Fixed bug where categories could not be re-ordered in the CATEGORY MANAGER.
🛠️ Other bug fixes & improvements
Email verification bug for new-users
We received reports since the release of 1.18 that some (not all) users would be unable to “Verify email” upon sign-up. We are still actively investigating this issue and this version includes code that we believe MIGHT fix the issue, but we are unable to confirm if it works for all users (we can’t reproduce the bug internally).
If you are still unable to verify email after signing up, please email us at support@cinapse.io
New feedback request portal
We changed our ‘submit feedback’ experience to a new product called CANNY that allows customers to see all feature-requests and bug-reports from other users, and upvote the issues that are most important to you
Please check it out (feedback.cinapse.io) and use your upvote power to push features up in our priority list.
The portal also notifies you when we have added a request to our sprint, and when the task is completed.
Made it easier to close the “Add element” dropdown menu in a breakdown sheet
This was annoying, we fixed it
Estimated Time in Daybreaks bug
Fixed a bug where minutes were adding up over 60 minutes in the daybreak (eg. 3h 120m)
Removed the prefix text ‘Notes’ in the strip
Fixed a bug where the word “Notes” was not removable from a strip-layout if you chose to display Notes in a strip
Report saving / deleting bug
Fixed a bug where the app would say “failed to save report” when actually, it succeeded
Fixed a bug where deleting a report would trigger an infinite loading wheel and require user to refresh the page to get back to the Reports page
“Filter by shoot-day” bug in Reports
Fixed a bug where users were unable to filter reports by shoot-day (instead of date-range) because the shoot-day option was unclickable
