Download the Cinapse desktop app for a faster experience
Work offline. Work without distractions.
Step 1
Go to scheduling.cinapse.io using a Google Chrome web browser.
Our desktop app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) which is only available for download on Chrome, Edge, and Safari (on machines with MacOS Sonoma or higher).
Step 2
At the top right of the address bar, click the Install icon.
Step 3
Follow the onscreen instructions and you’re all done!
The desktop app requires an internet connection to initially load files to your device. Open each file you wish to work on while offline. Then navigate back to the Home page to verify the file has the “Available offline” indicator icon next to the file name.
When you see that indicator, you can safely work offline and all your changes will be synced to the cloud next time you connect to the internet.
FAQs
Does the desktop app cost me any money?
No. It’s free to download and available to anyone who prefers to use Cinapse as a desktop app.
How does offline mode work?
Every time you open a file in Cinapse while connected to the internet, a copy of your file’s data is saved to your device. If you happen to lose internet connection, you can still open that file and make changes. All your changes will save and sync back to the cloud the next time you connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Cellular.
What if I’m working on a location that I know has no internet at all? Or I want to work during a long flight?
If you know you’re going to be without WiFi for a long period of time, preemptively follow these steps before you lose connection to ensure your file will be fully available during Offline Mode.
Step 1. Open your file while still connected to the internet (eg. At your home or office, before you travel)
Step 2. That’s it. Opening the file will copy all the data to your local machine. It will become available offline. You can double-check the file is available offline by navigating to your My Files page and checking to see if there is an “available offline” icon to the right of your file name.
Step 3. Go travel. Make changes to your file offline.
Step 4. Next time you get back online, all your changes will sync back to the cloud.
