Version 1.0

Cinapse has officially ended the free-beta program and we are proud to announce the launch of Version 1.0!

New Features

  • Final Draft Script Importing (the most requested feature by our 1000+ beta users).

    • Step 1. From the Home page, click the new “Import Final Draft” button

    • Step 2. Upload a .FDX or .FDR file

    • Step 3. Create file — the program will automatically create strips and import tagged elements from Final Draft

  • Faster Breakdown Sheets

    • Removed lag when typing into breakdown sheet input fields to speed up data-entry

  • Free Trial and Paid Subscriptions

    • Added 7-day free trial for all new users

    • Added paid subscriptions ($29/month if paid annually, or $36/month if paid month-to-month)

    • Added a secure Manage Billing & Subscriptions portal to the ‘My Account’ menu

      • Change payment method

      • Change subscription (pause or cancel)

      • View paid invoices

Customer Requested Improvements

  • Refreshed the Home page design

  • Added a horizontal-scroll-bar to the DooDs View panel

  • Updated the Default Layout for Film so that [Scene] is two cells in height

  • Updated the Default Color Palettes to show a “locked” icon to make it more clear to the user they can’t modify default templates

  • Fixed a crazy bug where if you used the search bar while in the Category Manager, and then deleted the text inside your search bar, the order of your categories would go into pure chaos and re-order infinitely on your screen

  • Fixed an even crazier bug where if you moved a strip to the scrapyard using the icon at the top of the Breakdown Sheet, the system would create a duplicate overlay ‘ghost’ of the strip and make your stripboard illegible. Thank you Lisa for finding this one. We fixed it!

  • Fixed a bug where if users make a custom Layout and they leave the Day Break design in the Layout Manager completely blank, it will cause boards to look very strange. The update we made only applies to all layouts MOVING FORWARD, so if you are experiencing weird layout bugs on your Stripboard in a file that was created more than 2 weeks ago, please check your Layout Manager > Custom Layout > Day Break tab and populate it with a design. Thank you Laura.

  • Fixed the language in the element-link delete modal to be more clear

  • Fixed bug in Shooting Schedule report where Production title wasn’t showing up in the report header

  • Fixed bug in One-Liner report where Cast wouldn’t show up if the episode-field was blank on strips. Thank you Michael.

  • Fixed the List report to remove the word [null] in front of all the element names if the user leaves Episode field blank.
